Easy Barbacoa steak tacos topped with pickled jalapenos, onions & cilantro lime dressing.

Directions

Prepare the pickled onions and jalapenos. You can do this the day before you need them if you like, it will make their flavor stronger. Thinly slice the jalapeno and red onion and place them in a medium bowl. Mix together white wine vinegar, lime juice, salt and pepper and pour the mixture over the onion and jalapeno slices. Set aside.


Add Barbacoa seasoning to a 1/4 cup of water and stir. Trim the steak and slice into thin slices. Place sliced steak in a Ziplock bag with the Barbacoa marinade. Allow to marinade for at least 30 minutes. If you need a Barbacoa spice blend recipe, click here: Barbacoa Taco Seasoning

While vegetables are pickling and meat is marinating, make cilantro lime dressing. In a blender combine sour cream, lime juice and cilantro until blended and creamy. If you want a thinner dressing add a little more lime juice or water.

In a large hot skillet drizzle a tablespoon of olive oil and pour meat into the skillet. Cook meat until desired doneness is reached.
